Lindsay Matthews (Guitar)

Lindsay was born in Cardiff, South Wales. He started playing the guitar after a friend showed him some simple cords on his guitar. This inspired him, and as a result he started classical lessons for about a year, followed by learning a little bit of jazz. After some time he began teaching beginners in local schools with his teacher; it was around this time that he became interested in rock music.

Mike Pugh (Bass, Keyboard)

Mike has always lived in Cardiff, South Wales, and music has always been a huge influence on him; The Groundhogs, Thin Lizzy, Led Zepplin and a local band called Budgie played a big part in this. He bought his first bass in the early '70s and soon after was found to be locked in his bedroom for the next 18 months.

Over the following couple of years he joined various cover bands. However, he found this to be a great limitation, due to his creative mindset, and found it much more rewarding to make his own music - whether it was good OR bad.

It was at this time that he met up with Lindsay Matthews and they decided to write their own material. He bought a drum machine, a 4-track cassette recorder to put down their ideas, and wrote some tunes. After a year or so they had about 20 songs but it consisted of mainly drums, bass and guitar; one thing was missing - a singer. They decided they needed someone to fill that gap and another guitarist.

Ray Rumsam (Drums)

Ray was born in Cardiff, South Wales, and currently lives in Penarth. He is the lyricist and vocalist of the band, and also plays the drums and percussion. The first band he was involved in was with his brother in the '80s. After writing a dozen or so songs they formed a band named Death Sentence.

Their first gig was venued at Talbot Green and it certainly sentenced them to death when it was announced that the local chippy was about to close - the venue emptied! Undeterred by the "take away" disaster, they went back to the drawing board and wrote another set of songs, with various other musicians under the name of Fury's Child. Ironically, the band blew itself out before their first gig!
